Apartment Review for Alden Park Towers - Detroit, MI

Renting here was the worst mistake of my life. I was talked into moving her by a young lady who told me the building was under renovations. I did have a new kitchen. I figured o.k. since it was on the river. First let me start with the day I was to move in. MY APARTMENT WAS NOT READY!!! The young girl told me they were understaffed and her and her manger spent the night cleaning my apartment and it was still not ready. I had no toilet seat, light fixtures were not in and there was mold around the windowsills. No appliances. Me, feeling sorry for the young lady, I rented anyway. Thinking things would be alright. Well needless to say. They totally forgot about me. I had to call and go to the office several times to remind them about my appliances and the black mold. I purchased my own toilet seat. The next month my Cadillac Converter was stolen off of my car. (As well as many others) At that time they had started the assigned parking. My girlfriend came over to visit me the !$$hole of a security guard told her to park in a space. When she got out of the car he greeted her and made a pass to her and walked her to the door. She spent the night and the next morning .....yes, her vehicle was gone!!! The security had her car towed because she was parked in someones spot. GO FIGURE!! I was furious. I went into the office and could never speak to anyone who had any say so about anything. They kept giving me the run around. They told me to call the guy who owned the security company, he kept telling me to call the property manger (that always hides-he has no balls) He never called me back. I went back and there was a lady manager. I just cut my losses and paid for her car to get out of the impound. $300 later. There are drug rings in the building. Somebody got shot, someone let snakes out, break ins. DO NOT LET THAT MAN WITH THE DREADLOCKS IN YOUR APARTMENT HE IS A THIEF!!! He has been setting people up. He even tried to sleep with my teenage daughter. The security guards have been seen getting high with him and they chase after women more then they do their jobs!!! One time there was a fight in the hallway and the guard told them to take the fight to the garage!!AND DON'T LET ME FORGET THE BEDBUGS, ROACHES AND BATS LIVE HERE!! Thugs hang out in front of the building (with security) I had to break my lease!!! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE.
