Milwaulkee Lofts Have Very, Very Poor Sound Insula
Review Date: 12/27/2009 Reviewer: Anonymous
If you move into the Milwaukee lofts in Detroit, your main concern will be noise and sound control. The incompentent builders, Boydell Development, failed to properly insulate the walls and floors for sound control and privacy. Forget the other comments mentioned b/c they're really not much of an issue. The builders killed 100% of the loft living experience due to lack of sound control insulation and extremely poor structuring. The only thing that separates the sound is a thin layer of drywall. WTF! What skilled, competent builder builds lofts like this' Nothing like NY lofts or any loft I've ever lived in. You can find better. Avoid these builders or you will be disappointed. You can literally stand in your main room and hear your neighbors conversation. When someone walks up the stairs to the 2nd level in their loft, you can hear them as if they're walking up your stairs. This should be a building for artists only who can tolerate noise because there is absolutely no privacy, in terms of sound. So there's no point in getting angry with your neighbor if they seem loud...they are not always loud. The building is simply poorly built. I have nothing to lose or gain. This is an honest review that can be confirmed. Just visit someone who lives there. |
