Apartment Review for Studio One - Detroit, MI

I moved into studio one apartments right when they were finished and although its a clean, new place there have been some issues with the apartment. First and foremost the noise has been really bad, despite the realitor telling me it was mostly "business professional" the apartments cater to a lot of wsu students and they all have large speaker systems. Additionally, the ground floor is occupied by restaurants and banks, so if you live on the second floor be prepared to here noise from below at all hours. Another issue I have with the place is the awful cable service that you are forced to have. No HD, no upgrades, just really fuzzy basic cable. Ive asked many many times to upgrade and Im met with a "cant do anything about it, sorry" or when ive requested to cancel and get my own service they say "cant do that the building is already wired and cancelling is not an option". Its been really frustrating because I have a good tv that looks awful on their cable plan. Finally, visitor parking is pretty bad. They wont let you use the lot out back, you have to use the parking garage and that costs 20 bucks for a friend to park their for the weekend. Those are three things that anyone looking to move into studio one apartments should consider before signing the lease.
