Apartment Review for University Club Apartments - Detroit, MI

I lived here for a year, while i was resided here at University Club apartment, I was counting down the days to end of the lease agreement. Maintenance was bad, furnace did not work properly for 6 months, complained about 7 times til they got it to work properly, caused utility bill costing nearly 125 avg/month. With $775 + $125 (utility) + $25 (internet) + $100 (cable) = $1,025/month is definitely not worth living here. I have seen cheaper and very different style such as loft, modern, etc. that cost cheaper and less issues. Security is horrible, not to mention that security's boyfriend works for trumble towing company. Too much hassle to have guest over. You may have 50/50 chance getting your car getting towed even if you're a resident. 90% chance your friend's car will be towed. Most unorganized parking security employees ever. My advice, photocopy permeate parking pass and give it to your friends. If you're a student, take advantage looking at WSU resident web page than go to off campus living. Will provide more and variety of choices. My new place, 20ft high ceiling, loft, hard wood floor, black kitchen counter top, very modern style, bigger than University Club, provide laundry, internet, and utility. Everyone thinks i made much better choice. Not to mention, most I ever have to pay is $850 a month. =)
